Resallience: from idea to creation<\/h2>\n

Resallience was founded in 2017, through the “Resilience as a Business” project launched within the L\u00e9onard intrapreneurship program. The latter aims to support entrepreneurial projects by VINCI employees to foster the emergence of new activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Resallience’s initial observation is clear: our cities, territories, and infrastructures, as well as our economic systems, are vulnerable to future climate hazards and disasters. It is therefore essential to assist various economic and institutional actors in implementing resilience and climate change adaptation strategies.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2019, Resallience joined the VINCI\/SIXENSE ecosystem and officially became a Business Unit within SIXENSE ENGINEERING, and so the adventure began!<\/span><\/p>\n

Resallience’s objective is ambitious: to address the immense challenge of adapting cities, territories, infrastructures, projects, and their uses to climate change.<\/span><\/p>\n

The first conclusion is not surprising: climate change adaptation is costly, but not as costly as inaction.<\/span><\/p>\n

The second observation confirmed the project\u2019s orientations: the evaluation of exposure, vulnerability, and criticality of assets and infrastructures should be the building blocks for proposing decision-support tools and solutions.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n<\/section>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Resallience subsequently decided to develop strategic and operational partnerships at various levels to solidify itself as an expert catalyst in the field of climate change adaptation and to offer its unique services. <\/span><\/p>\n

        The origins of the name Resallience<\/h2>\n

        Resallience is the combination of three words:<\/span><\/p>\n

        • Resilience<\/strong> \u2013 The ability to quickly adapt, withstand risks and accommodate uncertainties.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          • All<\/strong> \u2013 As a bridge and synergy between different stakeholders, in France and internationally.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            • Alliance<\/strong> \u2013 To symbolize the strength of the network and collective action.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
