A Major Exercise to Strengthen Critical Infrastructure Resilience

Wednesday 18 March 2026 - News

From June 10 to 12, 2025, RESALLIENCE contributed to the large‑scale cyber‑physical exercise conducted under the ATLANTIS (Horizon Europe) project in the Fréjus Tunnel, in Avigliana, Italy.

The simulation reproduced a coordinated cyber intrusion and a drone attack to test operational coordination between French and Italian authorities. The European Commission highlighted this demonstration as a key example of how to strengthen the resilience of critical infrastructure across Europe.

RESALLIENCE provided expertise in vulnerability analysis and operational observation, leveraging the project’s hypervision platform, real‑time threat detection capabilities and decision‑support systems. The lessons learned emphasize the need for improved interoperability, enhanced data sharing, integrated cyber‑physical monitoring and clearer cross‑border crisis‑governance frameworks.

This recognition reinforces RESALLIENCE’s role in shaping frameworks and recommendations aimed at improving preparedness and the robustness of essential infrastructure in Europe.
