March 2026 – PIARC 2026: RESALLIENCE at the Frontlines of Road Resilience
Sunday 8 March 2026 - News
RESALLIENCE participated last week in the World Winter Congress organized by PIARC, presenting the latest progress of Technical Committee 1.4, which focuses on the resilience of the road sector.
This committee works on two complementary areas: an “all‑hazards” resilience framework and the organizational resilience of road stakeholders.
RESALLIENCE contributes to this second area, i.e. an aspect still largely underexplored but essential for addressing climate change. Strengthening infrastructure alone is no longer sufficient: without an organization capable of anticipating, coordinating, and making decisions under pressure, the road system remains vulnerable.
Work is ongoing to better equip road managers to face these emerging challenges. Further updates will be shared soon.
